Here Lies My Best Friend

Participants drew and painted images in response to the following prompt.

If your best friend trusted you to design their grave marker, how would you design it?

It didn't feel tactful to ask this during 2020-2021's pandemic, violence, and natural disasters, but I'm hoping this imaginary graveyard encourages us to celebrate our best friends and consider how they want to be remembered. So thank you participants for creating beauty and humor out of a potentially painful topic. I'm so glad a fart machine made it into the mix.

If you, dear reader, would like to contribute an image, please email it to me at [email protected], and I'll post it below.

Participants
Azim Gh, Richard Segal, Anthony Sudol, Jack Lundquist, Stefan Scheercook, Julia Yerger, Josh Cromwell, Saskia Globig, Georgie Andrews, Mikey Cabezas, John Huggins, India Futterman, Gene Farbe, Christina Sadovnikov
